My experience as a mother, an entrepreneur, and an immigrant shapes the DNA of Mèlasun. I understand the mental load of wearing multiple hats, balancing personal care with professional ambition, and felt firsthand how beauty standards and skincare industries overlook consumers. Mèlasun is born from my lived experience—the realization that sun protection wasn’t made for us. "I never saw a sunscreen that truly worked for my skin and speak to me as a consumer."

I wanted to create a brand which is not just SPF but also about safeguarding our future. High-functioning women need simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Beauty should feel grounding and culturally affirming. From fear to wisdom—embracing change is power.
